A DONCASTER brass band will be needing plenty of puff tomorrow when they embark on a marathon performance.
Hatfield Brass Band are inviting people to Sandall Park, Wheatley Hills, from 9am to 9pm for its Brass Band Bash.
It is being presented by Friends of Sandall Park group and spokesman Don Crabtree said the 12-hour blow would be ‘incredibly challenging’ and is believed to be one of the longest brass playing sessions on record.
He said: “Running open air events in the park is a challenge at the best of times but we are determined that come rain or shine the band will be able to play for 12 hours.”
The event is free and visitors are invited to bring picnics and chairs.
