PUPILS from a Sheffield special school are set to end the summer term in style by travelling to London for a Rock Assembly at the O2 arena.

Youngsters from Holgate Meadows School will be at the charity event organised by the Transformation Trust.

Last year’s free event featured pop acts The Saturdays, Tinchy Stryder, The Wanted and Eliza Doolittle, and more than 12,000 young people attended.

Schools across Sheffield are being urged to sign up for tickets by this Friday - and if they do they will be entered into a prize draw to win a VIP box for one class, or the chance to go on a backstage tour.

The charity’s chairman Sir David Bell said: “Last year’s event was a day to remember, or as one teacher put it ‘the best school trip - ever’. This year’s will be even better.”
