Staff at Ye Olde Mustard Pot pub in Midhopestones are looking for locals with large appetites for a Giant Yorkshire Pudding eating contest as part of their annual family fun day this Sunday in aid of city charity Support Dogs.

Landlady Kelly Groves said: “The size of our Yorkshire puddings is legendary and many punters do struggle to clear their plates. So we thought we would lay down the gauntlet, and see not only who can finish one of our giant puds, but who can do it in the quickest time possible.”

The fun runs from 12noon to 3pm, with stalls, a bouncy castle, a tombola and a dog show.
