A new club night for rock lovers is being launched tomorrow at Silvers on Wellington Street in Barnsley.
Club Generation X goers will see local heroes Shermer, Frazer and Polyopia play live as well as get free entry to the event.
The club night will play the best of the alternative music scene and is being organised by Steve Clifford, Dave Pearsall and John Backhouse, who recently staged the hit Live in Barnsley music festival.
Club Generation X has promised to play the best in local music, with a list of bands including The Glavins already lined up.
Steve said “If it’s got a loud guitar on it then we’re gonna play it.”
The club night will cover all three floors.
Level one will play the latest indie music, level two will be where live bands play between 7pm and 10pm, followed by more laid back songs at a volume where you can still chat to your mates.
Level 3 is for real enthusiasts, where the volume is loud and the rock is very heavy.
There is also the chance to win two tickets to see Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum American alternative rock band Papa Roach (pictured), who are touring Europe to promote their new album The Connection. Support for the UK tour comes in the form of Middle Class Rut and American Fangs. Tickets are for December 2 at Sheffield 02 academy.
