A SHEFFIELD teenager’s face is being splashed across UK billboards ahead of the Olympics.
Bridie Hamilton, aged 16, is among a group of young people from across the UK selected to star in a poster campaign advertising London 2012, alongside pop singer Eliza Doolittle.
It comes as a double honour for the Sheffield College student, who was hand-picked to carry the Olympic torch when it arrives in the city on Monday, June 25, in recognition of her passion for sport.
Keen runner Bridie, of Woodseats, said: “A couple of months ago, I got a call asking me to be in the poster. It was brilliant.
“There aren’t any of the posters in Sheffield, but I’ve been to Leeds to see it and it’s great.”
