ICONIC snaps of Sheffield singer Dave Berry taken almost half a century apart are going on display this summer - in two separate exhibitions.
An image of the Beighton-born rocker snapped with the Ronettes way back in 1964 is to feature in a one woman show being staged at various venues in the USA by the all-girl group’s former lead singer Ronnie Spector.
Ronnie is touring the States with her Beyond the Beehive tour and asked Dave to send her a copy of the photo to use in her show after seeing it in his autobiography All There Is To Know.
Dave and The Ronettes toured the UK in 1964 with the Rolling Stones and the photo was taken in Mansfield.
Meanwhile an up to date image of Dave features in a prestigious Made in the North exhibition, showcasing the work of acclaimed Manchester-based photographer Paul Wolfgang Webster.
The picture, taken at a theatre in Stockport, shows Dave in a familiar pose, with a microphone held high and its lead over his shoulder.
