Oliver! heading for the theatre

THE show that leaves audiences asking for more is being performed in Sheffield next March.

And Westbourne School’s interpretation of Lionel Bart’s classic Oliver! is so popular that, for the first time, they’re hiring a theatre to cope with increased ticket sales.

The musical will be leaving the school hall and heading for Sheffield city centre’s Montgomery Theatre for two nights on March 22 and 23.

“Our shows have always been very successful and even provided the debut for Hollywood star Dominic West, when he led the cast of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” said marketing manager Angela Bywater.

“Interest in Oliver! is already so great we knew we wouldn’t be able to cope with demand in the school hall and the only way to avoid disappointment would be to move to a proper theatre. It’s going to be a great experience for all our young actors and musicians and a great night out.”
