SHEFFIELD’S got talent - but it will have to travel, after TV producers announced they’re no longer coming to the City Hall as planned.
Auditions for ITV talent show Britain’s Got Talent were scheduled to take place at Barker’s Pool next Tuesday, November 6. Huge queues of wannabe singers, dance acts, and performing dogs like last year’s winner Pudsey were expected.
But a spokesman for the venue said: “We are sorry to announce Britain’s Got Talent will no longer be coming to Sheffield City Hall at the request of their production office.”
A spokesman for the show said: “We cannot hold the auditions in Sheffield as the show’s set cannot fit into the venue. We are very disappointed not to be visiting Sheffield, but we’re holding open auditions in Manchester which we hope people from the area will attend.”
The spokesman said he could not comment on why a too small venue had been booked in the first place.
