A FREE tai chi class to relax the body and mind is on Tuesday January 25, 7pm-8pm at the Stillpoint Centre, Montgomery Rd, Nether Edge, Sheffield.

Teacher Boz Odusanya said: "Everyone is welcome and will be able to benefit, irrespective of whether they are complete beginners."

Wildlife walk

GET warmed up and lose weight with Sheffield Wildlife Trust on a six-mile walk through the Rivelin Valley on Saturday Jan 22, 10am from the Lodge Moor bus terminus, to finish at Malin Bridge.

Ward meeting

The next Shiregreen and Brightside ward meeting is on Wednesday, 1pm-3pm at St Margaret's Church, Jenkin Road, Wincobank, with a police crime report, presentation by Activity Sheffield, tidying the neighbourhood, Shiregreen Streetscene and Wincobank community centre.

Toast to Burns

AN ALTERNATIVE Burns Night celebration is in the Common Room of The University of Sheffield's University House on Western Bank on January 29, 7.30pm - not in The University Arms pub as first planned. The Scots-themed evening will raise money for St Luke's Hospice.
