Nature lovers are fun guys to be with during Sheffield fungi foray

Fungi lovers are invited to a foray at a Sheffield beauty spot which will help them to identify different species.

The event takes place at Wharncliffe Heathland Nature Reserve at 11am on Sunday, October 19.

Expert Ziggy Senkens of Sheffield Council’s ecology Unit will lead the event to find and identify the many species found in the reserve.

Previously up to 40 different species have been discovered at the site.

Meet at the River Don bridge on Station Road, Deepcar, for the two-hour event.
