MUSIC in the Gardens is set to return this summer from July 4 to 7 - and tickets go on sale tomorrow.
The Botanical Gardens will again play host to a stellar line-up, this year including pop veterans 10cc on July 6.
Event chairman Geoff Marston, of the Rotary Club of Sheffield, said he is ‘confident’ this year’s acts will really ‘raise the bar’. The musical series, organised by Rotary clubs, has raised over £170,000 in its seven year history.
Keith Peters’ Big Band will return to open proceedings on July 4, and there will be a proms-in-the-park style finale, featuring the Sheffield Philharmonic Orchestra and culminating in musical fireworks. This year’s benefiting charities include Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind.
