ARTISTS will converge on Chesterfield for its first community arts festival.
Chesterfield Council has organised the event, which will feature events across a number of different venues across the town centre.
The four-day festival will launch on Thursday, May 2, with a lunchtime organ recital in St Mary’s Church and a 1960s-themed market.
Other highlights will include a folk concert, arts market, music café and drama performances.
Rykneld Square will host an old Chesterfield horse-drawn tram from the Crich Tramway Village.
And shoppers at the Pavements Shopping Centre will be treated to a flashmob orchestra.
Coun Amanda Serjeant, of Chesterfield Council, said: “There really is something for everyone on offer at a wide range of venues.”
