Visitors to a South Yorkshire tourist attraction will be able to enjoy a traditional Christmas this weekend when it hosts a historical event.

A Victorian Christmas, held in Rotherham’s Clifton Park Museum and the new Garden Building in the museum grounds, will see traditional entertainment from 12 noon - 5pm tomorrow.

There will be a Santa’s grotto, wreath making and candle log decorating. There will also be craft activities, Victorian decorations, card making and biscuit decorating.

Traditional Christmas food will be served hot, roast chestnuts and mulled wine will be available, along with a chance to meet the Victorian residents and staff in costume.

There will also be a Christmas market and festive music from a string quartet. Contact 01709 336633 for information.
