Reach for The Star – that is what more than 100,000 people did on Tuesday as our audience success story grows and grows.
We regularly get more than 40,000 visitors a day looking at around a quarter of a million pages on our wesbite, www.thestar.co.uk
That is added to our newspaper sales figure of 28,000 copies of The Star a night.
But on Tuesday, more than 90,000 visitors looked at 336,000 page views, figures which broke all records.
The Battered Man’s Slave Ordeal story and video drew almost 40,000 visitors and 56,000 views alone.
This built on our success from last month, when The Star recorded its biggest ever year-on-year monthly digital increase with 622,781 unique users (up 60 per cent) looking at almost five million pages.
Increased video content showed huge rewards with more than a quarter of a million visitors viewing almost one million video stories.
The Star web tablet app also reported great success with more than 1,000 downloads in December.
All of which shows The Star is the only place to get your news, however you want it.
Editor James Mitchinson said: “The Star goes from strength to strength with its unrivalled news and sport coverage.
“We’re delighted with our success and would like to thank all readers for their support.”
