A WORLD-renowned organist and keyboard player is to perform in North Derbyshire.

Claudia Hirschfeld, from Germany, plays nearly 100 shows a year touring with her Wersi Louvre organ, recreating the sound of whole symphony orchestras, ensembles and big bands.

Claudia will perform on Wednesday, April 17, at Staveley Miners’ Welfare, Market Street, Staveley, at 8pm.

A club spokesman said: “Claudia has accompanied world-famous opera stars like René Kollo and Eva Lind and German tenors.

“Her unique and eye catching technique has become her trademark, earning international acclaim as ‘Prima Ballerina of the Organ’.”
