Sheffield’s Mental Health Week is to be held next month to celebrate and promote the services in Sheffield that help with recovery from mental illness.
It will be launched in the city’s Winter Garden on Monday, October 5 where a number of activities will be available to try, including apple pressing, willow weaving, arts and crafts.
During the week the Sheffield Creative Arts Support Team will host an exhibition of work exploring the theme ‘A Sense of Place’.
On October 8 local author Gavin Extence will talk about his latest book ‘The Mirror World of Melody Black,’ which is about a woman with bipolar disorder.
He will be speaking at Theatre Delicatessen on The Moor.
There will also be a public lecture at the Hallamshire Hospital on the idea of mindfulness as well as a ‘tea and talk’ afternoon with Sheffield Mind on
