CARE home residents will enjoy the therapeutic benefits of live music at a concert this Friday at Bupa’s Broomcroft House Nursing and Residential Home in Sheffield.
The concert, part of a Musical Memories in Care Homes project, has been organised by charity Music in Hospitals.
Helen Close, manager of the home on Ecclesall Road South, said: “Music is such a huge part of everyday life but a live performance really is very special. Music brings everyone together, lifts spirits and certainly gets toes tapping.
“Residents who may normally struggle with memories, such as those with dementia, suddenly find themselves recalling words and songs, so we know this performance will be a real treat.”
