SOUTH Yorkshire-born author Jane Sanderson will be launching her latest novel Ravenscliffe at Barnsley Central Library.
Jane grew up in the Hoyland area and was a pupil at Kirk Balk School.
Her debut novel Netherwood has been described as perfect for Downton Abbey fans and is set in Yorkshire at the beginning of the 20th century.
There are many parallels between the lives of the fictional characters of Jane’s novels and those of the Fitzwilliam family of Wentworth Woodhouse.
Copies of both Jane’s books will be available to buy and have signed at the launch, on Monday, September 24, at 2.30pm.
The event is free but places are limited. To book a place, call 01226 773921 or email JillCraven@barnsley.gov.uk
Coun Jenny Platts, of Barnsley Council, said: “I am sure that the event will be enjoyable and informative.”
