The legend of Robin Hood arrived in Doncaster as youngsters helped a drama group tell the story at Conisbrough Castle.
Dozens of children helped Geoffrey Harris, of historical drama group BZ Ents, to tell stories about the famous outlaw in the dramatic surroundings of the 11th century Norman keep.
He issued them with props including costumes, bows and arrows and toy horses to help them tell the tales.
Afterwards, he praised the efforts of the youngsters who took part in the three shows the group ran on both Saturday and Sunday.
Children were also given the chance to learn medieval jesters’ skills and to practise with a bow and arrow as part of the session.
Dozens of visitors attended the show from all over the country, as well as from abroad.
