potential pilots are being offered the chance to reach for the skies at Robin Hood Airport.

The Finningley airport hosts a flying school where students can pursue a career in flight, fly for fun, or tackle a new challenge.

Doncaster Sheffield Flying School, established by Shaun Collins and Christian Widdowson, is open to everyone over the age of 14, although you need to be 16 to fly solo.

A flying school spokesman said: “The school at Robin Hood Airport enables the staff to pass on our enthusiasm for flying and allow people to experience the joys of seeing the world from a bird’s eye view.”

Ann-Marie Pike from Robin Hood Airport said: “As well as a range of licences the school offers some of the best ground tuition available in the UK, so it’s a fantastic centre for fun and learning.”
