Britain’s public have voted Doncaster Market to be Britain’s Favourite Market twice, in 2011 and 2012, in a contest run by the National Association of British Market Authorities following an online public vote.

Mayor of Doncaster, Peter Davies, said: “Our historic markets continue to attract thousands of shoppers from far and wide who come for the diverse range of stalls selling high quality, excellent value goods and foods. The thriving markets are a key part of our plan to attract more visitors and day trippers to the borough.”
