LADIES from across South Yorkshire have banded together to create a charity concert.
Soroptomist International of Yorkshire has organised Midsummer Prom in the Park - a night of music in the open air - which takes place at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Wakefield, on Sunday, June 24.
Organisers from clubs across the region, including Sheffield and Doncaster, are hoping to attract big crowds to raise cash for the Alzheimer’s Society’s Singing for the Brain Project.
The event will feature performances from Bradford City Band and guest soloists Joanne Wagstaff and Lucy Bates.
Tickets cost £10 for the performance, which starts at 7pm. Concert-goers are asked to bring along a blanket.
