A BRAVE band of women are preparing to bare all to audiences to raise charity cash.
Sheffield-based theatre group The Stannington Players will strip off for the city’s first amateur production of the stage version of Calendar Girls. Based on the story of the Yorkshirewomen who produced a nude Women’s Institute calendar, the play will run at Lomas Hall, Church Street, Stannington from September 5 to 8.
In keeping with the spirit of fundraising, proceeds will go to Weston Park Hospital.
Producer Pauline Morgan said: “The play is about women trying to make a difference. It has laughs and some very poignant moments.
“The play isn’t about seeing women naked - if anyone sees anything I’ve failed to produce the play to the author’s stipulation of concealment.”
