The kitchen garden at the National Trust’s Longshaw Estate is to open to the public for day of hands-on family activities on Sunday.
Visitors can explore the garden and take part in activities including seed sowing and a garden quiz. Plants will be on sale.
The kitchen garden is run by a team of volunteers to produce crops of fruit and vegetables, which are served in the Longshaw Visitor Centre.
Community and Learning Officer, Jenny Gerrans, said the event may inspire people to grow their own food.
