Doncaster born author Joyce Annie Cooper has produced a follow-up to her book Tuppney’s Tales, 10 years after her first entry into print.
The book recalled her experiences of what it was like living in Lindrick Cottage, Tickhill, as a child in the 1940s and 1950s.
Joyce, now 76, was a professional dancer at theatres all around the country, including the Grand in Doncaster and City Varieties, Leeds.
She credits her uncle Harry for the unusual title of the book, for Tuppney was his pet name for her.
Tuppney’s Tales – The Sequel carries on from where her first volume left off and is available from GT News, in Tickhill Market Place.
