Doncaster’s former Karisma nighclub has reopened under a new name after a £750,000 refurbishment.

Club Faith has opened in the building in Duke Street, with the owner hoping to turn it into one of premier venues in the north of England.

Chris Roberts said: “I have really gone to town on this venue. We have an arcade room featuring slots and car racing games, a large dance floor and a more intimate R&B dance area.

“There are numerous bars, VIP areas and more.”

The 1,800 capacity venue has been a nightspot for decades, with The Beatles playing there when in was the Co-op Ballroom. It has also been Romeo and Juliet and Seventh Heaven.

Chris, aged 31, says he has a 10-year plan to attract revellers from all over the region.
