EVERYONE loves an ice lolly in the hot weather.

And the lemurs at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park are no different!

Animal ranger Diane Taylor, 25, gave the primates at the Branton zoo giant ice lollies made of frozen melon to help them keep cool.

But park director Cheryl Williams said the lemurs were loving the recent hot spell.

She said: “They enjoy the lollies, and they also give them something to play with.

“They love the hot weather. Madagascar gets quite hot, and they have been sitting there sunbathing in what looks like little yoga positions. It’s not so popular with the Siberian tigers though.”
