St Luke’s Hospice will be adding extra light and sparkle to the Christmas season with two special events celebrating and remembering the lives of loved ones.
The annual Festival of Light on Sunday, December 6 will see thousands of lights in the hospice gardens lit.
Those who attend the ceremony will be given the opportunity to decorate and write messages on special candle bags, which will be placed in the gardens.
On Sunday, December 13, the hospice’s annual service of remembrance will be held at Sheffield Cathedral.
Sue Jackson, from St Luke’s, said: “Our Book of Remembrance will be available at both events but in order to allow us enough time to inscribe all the names in this special book, dedications should be returned to us no later than November 6.”
