Fans of all things horror-ble flocked on mass to the UK’s largest horror convention.
An army of zombies, ghosts and ghouls made for a spooky atmosphere at HorrorCon 2015 at Magna Science Centre in Rotherham.
The centre was turned into a festival of fright and terror as writers, film stars and stall holders entertained revellers dressed in full horror attire.
Stars of the big screen were in attendance as Gunnar Hansen, more commonly known for playing Leatherface in the 1974 hit film, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, was hand to greet revellers.
Special effects make-up artist Mike Peel of V for Vendetta, The Descent, Crying Wolf, Release the Hounds plus many more, turned people into zombies and displayed film props and demonstrated horror make-up techniques.
Tom Savini, actor from Dawn of the Dead and Django Unchained, also joined in the fun last weekend.
Alison Walster, aged 53, of Crookes in Sheffield, had a stall at the convention showcasing her spooky home made items.
She said: “It was amazing, a really fantastic weekend.
“All the superstars were there and it was just so surreal, they were right in front of my stall!
“There were huge queues of people going for Tom Savini and Gunnar Hansen’s autographs it was crazy.
“I think many of us were walking around like zombies today I had a lie-in and I’m looking forward to getting my front room back.”
An event statement on the web site said: “HorrorCon UK 2015 is an opportunity for we horror fans to get together and celebrate our love of the horrific, macabre & grotesque.
“This is an opportunity for fans of horror to meet and reassure each other that there is nothing wrong with us in the head!”
