FORMER West End actress Samantha Smith is looking for talented young actors and actresses who may be good enough to land television roles.
She is auditioning for a new drama class for teenagers aged 13 to 19. Successful pupils will get full training and may get the chance to appear in the TV drama Waterloo Road.
Samantha, originally from Sprotbrough, who runs the Starstruck stage school, said: “I am constantly being asked for talented northern actors to fulfil featured roles in dramas such as Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, Waterloo Road and Coronation Street, which was my inspiration for this new class.”
Scholarships are available for those on low incomes.
The academy starts on Saturday, June 4, at Hall Cross Upper School, but there will be auditions on Wednesday, May 25, at 5.30pm, also at Hall Cross Upper School.
People wanting to audition should log onto firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07734 964 648.
