A Barnsley historian and author will be screening archive films of the town on Sunday.
Dave Cherry has digitally restored the films which have been taken from old footage he has collected over the past few years.
The films will be screened at a special event in the council chambers in Barnsley Town Hall.
Dave is also launching his first novel, The Woodhead Diaries, based on the workers who built the Pennine Railway tunnel in the 1840s.
Admission to the event - which runs from noon to 2pm - is free.
