A collection of experiments and wacky workshops are set to inspire youngsters in Sheffield this half-term.

The University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University and their students’ unions are hosting a five-day extravaganza in the Winter Garden, all this week.

The Community Week features intriguing and imaginative events, which aim to take youngsters on a voyage of discovery and help them to realise their dreams.

Youngsters can make their own postcards which will be launched into space on special balloon made by scientists, create a monster that can help them handle their own emotions, learn how to use chopsticks and play Singaporean games and make a Malaysian kite.

Activities run between 10.30am and 12.30pm and 1pm and 3.30pm until this Friday, February 20.
