Have your say

It’s going to be a scorcher...

Glorious sunshine which has greeted the start of June can mean only one thing – summer is here.

After a long and arduous winter during which, in South Yorkshire, we thought we’d never see the back of the snow, experts from Sheffield’s Weston Park weather station have already predicted this month will be an improvement on the same time last year – the fourth-wettest June since records began in 1882.

If that’s not a cause for celebration, we don’t know what is.

The Star is using this ray of hope to launch its new campaign – the Summer of Love – which aims to make this one the best yet.

We will be bringing you all the latest news and events happening in your area, with reports, pictures and videos of residents getting into the spirit of the season.

You can get involved too, by sending us photos of your summer - whether it’s a day out at home or a holiday in the UK or abroad. Send your photos to news@thestar.co.uk and we’ll publish the best.

There are a lot of things to look forward to – with galas, fairs and festivals all around the corner – and The Star team will be there to help spread the love throughout June, July and August.

With both the newspaper and website offering a fresh new look, the Summer of Love will prove that The Star is the number one news source at the heart of South Yorkshire’s communities.

If you’re hosting something in the sun or just enjoying the sunshine then The Star wants to hear about it.
