Hundreds of fundraisers will put their best foot forward tonight to raise vital cash for a Sheffield hospice.
Walkers will stride out on St Luke’s Hospice’s annual 5km Starlight Walk from Endcliffe Park to Forge Dam and back as dusk falls at 9pm – although the fun starts from 6.30pm.
There will be live music from The Grand Plan, along with a beer tent, hog roast, ice cream and a selection of international treats from the Sheffield Street Food team.
Face painters will be on hand and, before the walk, there will be a mass warm-up.
The Whirlow hospice wants more than 1,000 walkers to generate at least £100 each in sponsorship – entry is £15 for adults and £10 for children aged five to 15.
