MORE than 80 volunteers frugged out on the floor for three solid hours during Marie Curie Cancer Care’s first ever Sheffield dance-a-thon.

The endurance challenge took place at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre where fundraisers demonstrated a variety of styles including zumba, street dance, disco and cheerleading.

The event was hosted on the night belly-dancer extraordinaire Sophie Mei, who said: “It was fantastic to see so many people of all ages taking action for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

“There were loads of laughs. Dance is a great way to keep healthy and happy - three hours of it may be tiring but it sure was fun!”
