TWO pals from a Sheffield school have had their heads shaved bare in support of a mate who has been diagnosed with cancer.
Tapton students Evan Townsend and Tapi Gurure, both aged 15, have so far raised £1,700 for the cancer ward at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
They were inspired to take action after learning of the condition of their friend Joss Rowley, also 15, who they know through Sheffield Abbeydale Rugby Club.
Tapton headteacher David Bowes said: “The lads didn’t just leave it at that – they’ve also been undertaking a number of events throughout the week in support of their fundraising efforts. They’ve done a terrific job.”
