Barratt Yorkshire West is celebrating achieving the maximum five-star housebuilder rating in an annual customer satisfaction survey, run by the Home Builders Federation (HBF).
The independent UK-wide survey, completed by 29,000 UK homebuyers during October 2011 to September 2012, revealed that over 90 per cent of all respondents would recommend Barratt Yorkshire West.
Sam Wood, Sales Director at Barratt Yorkshire West, said: “We take an enormous amount of pride in the consistently high levels of quality and service that we deliver for our customers across the Yorkshire area.
“It’s a great achievement for our employees to be recognised as leaders in customer service.
“We are passionate about the quality of the homes we build so it’s fantastic for everyone associated with Barratt Yorkshire West to be rewarded nationally in this way. ”
Stewart Baseley, Executive Chairman of HBF, said: “These results clearly demonstrate that consumers are overwhelmingly happy with the service housebuilders are delivering.
“The results are a testament to the efforts made by our industry to deliver products and services that consumers are happy with, despite the difficult business environment.”
The company recently announced six new projects during 2013 that will deliver 883 new homes and underpin hundreds of jobs.
The new sites will include building 180 homes in Thurcroft, Rotherham.
Sam Wood said: “Buyer confidence is steadily improving and we’re seeing encouraging demand for our homes. The fact that we are starting new sites is also good news for local jobs.
“One of the key issues for anyone buying a home continues to be getting the right mortgage. NewBuy, the 95% mortgage backed by government, is only available on new-build homes, which means customers – both first-time buyers and home movers – only need a five per cent deposit.”
