1 Ballroom blitz

Strictly Come Dancing The Live Tour is set to return to the region this week.

Celebrities from this year’s series including Simon Webbe from Blue and Radio 1’s Scott Mills will join Thom Evans, Caroline Flack, Mark Wright and Alison Hammond in the performance.

Completing the line-up is Strictly favourite Zoe Ball, who will host the tour.

2 Winter wonderland

Nellie Stagles School of Dance is set to preform Winter Wonderland at Cast in Doncaster this week.

There are four performances, including two matinees at 2pm and two evening shows at 7pm from the school which has studios throughout the town.

Join the dancers on a journey to ‘Planet Pop’, experience their beautiful ‘Ballet Des Operas’, get ready to be thrilled on the ‘Lights Camera Action Tour’ and witness breathtaking choreography throughout the ‘Fairytales and Fantasies Adventure’.

Routines will be varied and include Charlie and the Chocolate factory, “O” - Cirque du Soleil, Lego Movie, Hairspray, Wreck It Ralph, Putting on the Ritz and Tina Turner’s Proud Mary.

3 Action man

A-list Hollywood actor, Sylvester Stallone, is set to the come to the region for his only intimate evening event in the UK, to talk to fans about his amazing career.

The actor, writer, producer and director of almost 90 movies is one of Hollywood’s biggest ever box office draws, from his breakthrough Rocky role in 1976 to his latest block-buster movie franchise, The Expendables.

He will share his private moments and insights from his career as he is interviewed on stage for 90 minutes.

Sylvester will be interviewed by BBC radio and TV presenter Mike Read.

4 Pop sensation

International superstar, Jessie J, arrives in the region this week as part of her latest tour.

Jessie kicked off her solo career with Price Tag, the anti-materialistic anthem of its year, and an album that sold in its millions going platinum several times over.

But that was just the beginning of a career that has seen Jessie become the first British woman in history to take six top 10 singles from one album, and never mind that it was her first outing.

5 Funny business

Controversial comic Jimmy Carr, will return to the stage this weekend on his latest tour.

Live comedy is what Jimmy does best. His stand-up achievements to date include a British Comedy Award for Best Live Stand-Up Tour and a Perrier Award nomination. 
On stage, he’s even funnier and even more outrageous and Funny Business is his new stand-up show.
