Tom Henthorn, music resource technician at Red Tape Central, based at Red Tape Studios on Shoreham Street in Sheffield city centre, said it was a ‘generous donation’.

“I can’t tell you how excited we all are at Red Tape,” he said.

“We’re really pleased with the condition it’s in, especially that the action on every key is mechanically sound, and that it arrived surprisingly well in-tune, despite the move.

“Our tutors are really pleased that our students will have such a nice instrument to practice playing and recording.”
