WHIRLOW Hall Farm is to host its first festival of running over the Bank Holiday weekend of August 25 to 27.
The weekend will be the first of its kind, with entertainment and children’s activities as well as running races and orienteering.
Events on the Sunday will be for serious runners only, with an epic 56.5 mile route across some of the most scenic areas of the Peak District. It is open to committed distance runners or teams of four, each taking on a half-marathon leg.
More attainable will be a 12.12 mile route, a juniors’ race over three kilometres, and a farm fun run on the Bank Holiday Monday, with participants encouraged to wear farm-themed fancy dress.
