TEENAGE fans of rising star band Lawson queued for hours in Sheffield city centre to meet their idols.
The - mostly female - line of over 100 people stretched from outside HMV to down Black Swan Walk.
Some fans had waited since 9am, with the instrument brandishing quartet not scheduled to appear until 5pm for a short set and CD signing session.
Many were from Chesterfield, where bassist Ryan Fletcher lives.
Student Charlotte Aldous, 19, was one. She said: “We have seen them in concert three times but never managed to meet them, so I wasn’t missing this.”
And boyfriend Tristan Peters, also 19, said: “I am quite used to being the only man at their gigs.”
At the front of the queue were Laura Mahoney, 17, and Georgia Brooks, 16, of Chesterfield, who got there before 9am. Lawson supported The Wanted on their arena tour.
