VEGETABLES, a gloved hand and a sleeping puppy are among the unusual sculptures being displayed around Chesterfield town centre’s shopping area The Yards.
The displays have been created as part of the Chesterfield Cultural Renaissance project, funded by the European Union.
Other sculptures include a falcon and an acre of cast ‘trees’.
Coun Nick Stringer, Chesterfield Council’s executive member for leisure, culture and tourism, said: “It’s important for town centres to deliver something creative to keep them dynamic and lively, and art is something that brings a new dimension to public spaces.
“This latest project is just one of many improvements to The Yards which we hope will continue to thrive and attract new visitors and shoppers.”
