Doc/Fest goes al fresco in Botanical Gardens

An outdoor film screening will take place in the Botanical Gardens as part of Sheffield’s Doc/Fest celebration for the first time in June.

The European premiere of Mavis! - a music documentary about singer Mavis Staples - is happening in the gardens on June 6.

Composer Michael Nyman brings War Work: 8 Songs with Film to Sheffield for a special event at City Hall on the same day, while agony aunt and TV presenter Philippa Perry will discuss her work on June 9 in the Memorial Hall.

Comedian Adam Buxton appears at the Crucible on June 10, sharing music videos as part of his BUG show.
