You’re never too young to make your stage debut…as little Pippa Tennick is about to demonstrate.
For when the junior acting hopeful makes her premier appearance on stage with the Grenoside and Birley Carr Players, she’ll be just three months old!
Baby Pippa will be joining mum Joanne and dad Jonathan, from Grenoside in Sheffield, on stage in the society’s revival of Gilbert and Sullivan classic The Yeomen of the Guard.
And, just to keep things in the family, the cast also includes her nanna Sue Hardacre and great aunt Maxine Townson.
“I gave birth just as rehearsals were getting under way so Pippa’s been coming to the society every week!” said mum Joanne.
“I’m in the chorus and the singing doesn’t seem to disturb her so it seemed like a good idea to suggest to our director, Stephen Andrews, that she might be able to make an appearance in some of the crowd scenes – and he said yes.”
The Yeomen of the Guard will run at Grenoside Community Centre from March 25 to 29 and will be supporting St Luke’s Hospice.
