SHARROW Lantern Carnival organisers have announced over 30 free lantern-making workshops this February and March, ready for the big event from 8pm on Sunday, April 7.
All materials will be provided, and no experience is necessary for the workshops, which start on February 2 and continue on Saturdays until April 6 at the Old Junior School, South View Road, Sharrow, and The Hub, Sharrow Lane. Extra-big lanterns can be made on Thursdays at The Old Junior School from February 7, from 7pm to 10pm.
Volunteers are needed to help run the workshops - turn up on Saturday, January 26, at the Old Junior School from 12noon to 2pm.
Stewards are also needed on the day of the carnival. Email email@example.com if you can help.
This year’s theme is roots.
