Darts legends Eric Bristow and Keith Deller will be stepping up to the oche as part of Doncaster Racecourse’s two- day Victor Chandler Christmas fixture next week.
The Christmas Meeting gets under way on Friday, December 9, with punters challenging the darts professionals on Saturday, December 10.
No pre-registration is necessary and admission to the race day will give visitors the opportunity to test their game against the former World Champions.
The special nine-dart challenge competition enables anyone to throw nine arrows on the day, seeking to nail a high enough score to put them in with a chance of playing against Bristow and Deller in a pro-am contest.
First prize for one lucky race goer will be a table for two in Doncaster Racecourse’s Mallard restaurant at the William Hill Lincoln Meeting on Saturday, March 31, with Lincoln tickets for the runners-up.
Eric Bristow said: “I’m sure the two days of action will make for a superb spectacle. I am really looking forward to coming along to the course and competing against the punters on the Saturday of the event.
“I know my playing partner and fellow former World Champion Keith Deller also can’t wait to play some darts, and have a crafty flutter in between matches.”
Mark Spincer, managing director of Doncaster Racecourse, said: “It is going to be really exciting to have two darts World Champions in Eric Bristow and Keith Deller battling it out in competition with our guests on the Saturday of the Victor Chandler Christmas Meeting.
“The contest will make for some great entertainment off the track in between the races and I’m sure both days will give people a great opportunity to kick start the festive season in style.”
