A SOUTH Yorkshire biker returned to his home county to celebrate his achievements after retiring from the sport.
Double World Superbike champion James Toseland was guest of honour the Sheffield Park Hotel, at Meadowhead, where a special event was held in his honour.
The rider, born in Doncaster and raised in Kiveton, was accompanied by his girlfriend, pop singer Katie Melua, who took to the stage to perform during the evening.
The event, called An Evening with James Toseland, was hosted by commentator Murray Walker and also featured a charity memorabilia auction.
Katie, aged 27, and James, 31, started dating earlier this year.
The biker also performed on Friday night with his own band Crash, playing covers of famous rock classics.
