A WOMAN has organised a charity concert to thank Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind – which she said proved a lifeline for her grandma.

Jenni Staves said Eva Staves’ life had been transformed by help given since she developed macular degeneration and lost her sight.

Jenni said: “When my gran went blind her life changed.

“The help from the society has made a huge difference and her family are grateful.”

Now Jenni has organised a choral event tomorrow, at Sheffield Town Hall, of classical, show and contemporary music called Sing for Sight.

Proceeds will be used for singing classes at the society.

n Tickets cost £10 and are available from 0114 2722757.
