SHEFFIELD’S Freeman College is to hold a Midsummer Arts and Crafts Festival on Saturday, June 30, at the Sterling Works - its restored Victorian cutlery factory in the city centre.

It will give the public the opportunity to try their hand at a range of traditional crafts while seeing demonstrations from some of the city’s leading artisans.

One will be greenwood worker Neil Trinder, who has worked on restoration projects from Hampton Court to the Bronte’s parsonage at Howarth.

Other crafts will include spoon forging and felting.

Live music will be provided by Sieben, Garforth and Myers, and The Silver Darlings as well as psychedelic folk artists Telling The Bees.
