TWO Sheffield bands are in with a chance of supporting top indie group Kaiser Chiefs - and fans are being asked to show their support to help them secure the coveted slot.

One Boy Has Music and The Sherlocks, who are both based in Sheffield, are among 40 hopefuls competing to play before Kaiser Chiefs’ headlining set at the Triumph Live 2012 festival in Mallory Park, Lincolnshire.

The festival takes place from August 31 to September 2, and is billed as the world’s largest festival devoted to British motorbike firm Triumph.

Fans can vote online, and the top 20 groups will go forward to another web poll where five acts will be selected for a ‘battle of the bands’ final.

Visit www.triumph-bandbattle.com to vote. Only one vote is allowed per person.
